St. Matthew Lutheran Church, serving over 250 families in the Farmington Valley of Connecticut, is a member congregation of the New England Synod of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA). You are invited to worship with us.

Our Mission
St. Matthew Lutheran Church is a worshiping congregation, challenged by God to be an inviting community, and to serve others through our Christian faith and resources.

bullet A Gift That Keeps Giving Conversation is set for Tuesday evening June 23 at 7:30 p.m. Join in as we explore ways to encourage people to see the St. Matthew Endowment Fund as an opportunity to extend and expand the power of giving. Come and share your ideas!

bullet Vacation Bible Camp. Summer is upon us and that means it’s time to register your kids (age 3 (toilet trained) through 4th grade) for Vacation Bible Camp, July 6-10. Registration forms are available in the Gathering Space or contact Vicar Kate. Cost is $15 per child or $35 per family. Adult help is needed. Please sign-up in the Gathering Space.

bullet How Does Your Garden Grow? With your help, of course. Please sign-up in the Gathering Space to help keep St. Matthew’s garden areas watered and well-groomed during the hot summer months. Contact Mabel Howard with questions at 658-6410. Thank you.

bullet The Flower Chart has several dates open. If you wish to donate flowers on one of the following Sundays, please sign up in the Narthex: July 5, 12, 26, August 23, September 27, November 8, 15, 29, December 6 and 13. Cost is $30. Please leave your check in the offering, or on Diane’s desk in the office.

bullet The Need Goes On. Food for the Farmington Valley Food Pantries can be left in the basket outside of the church office. Canned goods and nonperishable food items are welcome.
