bulletWe have entered our summer worship schedule: We will worship on Sunday mornings at 9:00 a.m.; Wednesday Evening Worship at 7:30 p.m. begins June 30.

bullet Musicians Wanted! There are still dates available for the Wednesday evening communion services this summer. If you are interested in leading the congregation in two hymns, please sign up in the Gathering Space. If you have any questions, please contact Sarah Hernandez.

bullet Go Green and Receive THE VOICE by email each month!
Send Diane (dfirn123@sbcglobal.net) your email address and she will add you to the list to receive THE VOICE each month in your email box. If you prefer, you can read THE VOICE on St. Matthew’s website: www.stmatthewavon.org. Either way, let Diane know and she will remove your name from the paper VOICE mailing list to save on postage. bullet Electronic Giving. To assist everyone in making the consistent offerings that are so important to St. Matthew, we ask you to consider making automatic, electronic donations. bullet Vacation Bible Camp. Parents, did you know that Vacation Bible Camp is just around the corner? This summer VBC is July 12-16 and is for those between the ages of 3 and those going into fourth grade! The cost is $15 per child or $45 per family maximum! Please sign up today. Registration forms are in the Gathering Space.

bullet Calling all Gardeners! Sign-up in the Gathering Space to help keep St. Matthew’s gardens weeded and watered during the hot summer months. Sign-up for a week or two as your schedule permits. Contact Mabel Howard with any questions at 860-658-6410.

bullet Hammonasset is calling all Youth in Grades 8-12. The annual New England Synod Youth Gathering at Hammonasset State Park is coming September 10-12. Over 900 Youth from six states and 190 congregations will gather for worship, games, hanging out, swimming at the beach, meeting new friends, and much more. The Band for the weekend is Jacob’s Road (www.jacobsroad.com). The speaker is Ralph Supper. Registration Packets are available in the rack next to the sign up board in the Gathering Space, and are due back to the office by July 4 (the event fills quickly!) Cost is $45
