Our Mission
St. Matthew Lutheran Church is a worshiping congregation, challenged by God to be an inviting community, and to serve others through our Christian faith and resources.

Noon Readers will meet on Tuesday, February 14 at Shirley Slattery’s, 22 Forest Hill Drive, Simsbury to discuss State of Wonder by Ann Patchett. Bring a sandwich and join us.

Evening Readers will meet on Tuesday, February 14 at 7:00 p.m. in the Gathering Space to discuss The Red Tent by Anita Diamant. All are welcome! For March, we’ll be discussing The Things They Carried by Tim O’Brien.

REMINDER:  Thrivent members can direct 2011 Choice Dollars through March 31. Through Thrivent Choice Dollars, eligible benefit members of Thrivent Financial for Lutherans can recommend where Thrivent Financial distributes part of its charitable funds each year.  Choice Dollars can be directed to many Lutheran organizations nationwide including St. Matthew. Visit Thrivent.com/thriventchoice or call 800-847-4836  and say "Thrivent Choice." At the second prompt say "Choice Dollars."

Technology Committee forming now! We are seeking a diverse group of tech enthusiasts of all ages and backgrounds to explore ways to integrate technology, e.g. Facebook, in furthering our mission at St. Matthew. If interested, please contact Harry Schuh at hschuh@charter.net.
